| The worm symbolizes conflicting thoughts and confusion in faith. This worm of doubt eats away at the soul, if one exists. The bag is money, the thing that softens all doubt. The beheaded priest and his hand impaled on the stick signifies the distance between the realm of the church on Earth and the realm of GOD in Heaven. |
