I'm not sure of the year I painted this. I do recall it was done on my birthday, August 19th. The original is gone and the original signature has been clipped out. This was a day I stole away from my office. I spent it alone at home with my newly discovered paintbrushes and water colors ... I unhooked the phone from the wall so I would not get a messages. The painting was started and completed in that day ... a moment in time, spent entranced in color, as far away as I could be from the chaos. It was a good day.

The original was sold by a gallery in the Castro district of San Francisco to a person whom I never met. The owners of the Gallery died of AIDS. The Gallery closed. I don't recall the name of the gallery or the names of the owners ... They were good people.
