A very early airbrush piece.

This was one my first "air-paintings". This piece was done freehand, no sketching. I first began to create paintings in 1978.

It was the artist "H.R. GIGER" who first inspired me to us an airbrush. I stumbled upon a book of his work (the NECRONOMICON) a few months prior to painting this piece. As anyone can see who is familiar with GIGER's work, the style of this painting is influenced by his airbrush work. Many of my early paintings show heavy influence of this artist. Gigers' work is a secret gift to me. Emulating his airbrush style gave me the starting point and direction that I needed in order to eventually find my own style. I am still astounded by the brilliant works of Giger.
